Senior Simulation Engineer 
Contributing to the process of innovation and development of new products, technologies,
assembly processes, and improving / innovating product by developing theoretical and
computational 3D models for the hearing aid and pro-audio industry.

Your responsibilities

You work in project teams on the development of products. As you are working with industry leading experts and consistently apply Lean tools in the projects, you catch on and learn fast!
Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for specific modeling and simulation tasks within project delegated by the
    (Project) responsible;
  • Performing modeling and simulation tasks complying with the quality, schedule, and cost
    of the project;
  • Performing a qualitative and full feasibility modeling study;
  • Conducting risk analysis and advising on new model developments;
  • Developing current and new computational approaches/techniques that are applicable in
    new technologies via predictions;
  • Developing current and new computational approaches/techniques that are applicable in
    new innovative products;
  • Validate models against measurements for the designed products and proposed
    Modifications;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate intermediate and final results;

You will be based in our office in Hoofddorp, Netherlands.

Your enthusiasm makes you a great team member, so you can interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with different backgrounds. Other qualities we ask for are:

  • At least 4 years of working experience in development engineering depending on education
    Level;
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in physics, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering,
    or electrical engineering;
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Modeling (FEM) theory and Lumped Element Modeling
    (LEM) theory is a must;
  • Experience with one (or more) of the following FEM-based softwares (COMSOL,
    ANSYS) or SPICE simulators (OrCAD, LTSpice) is a must;
  • Flexibility in using new FEM-based softwares or SPICE simulators is a must;
  • Familiarity with one (or more) of the following topics: applied physics, vibro-acoustics, finite
    element methods, electromagnetism, is a must;
  • Knowledge of engineering processes/principles;
  • Ability to write technical documentation for transfer knowledge purposes is a must;
  • Preferably have basic knowledge of MathWorks MATLAB;
  • Capable of thinking on a system level as well as on component level;
  • Result driven;
  • Pro-actively searching for solutions;
  • Able to handle some technical uncertainties;
  • Analytic;
  • Systematic;
  • Innovative.
