Sonion turns 50!

Sonion is pleased to announce our 50th anniversary.

Sonion’s roots go back to 1974, where Sonion, then called Microtronic, was founded in Roskilde. Our first products were hearing aid volume controls, and today we are a global leader in designing and manufacturing advanced components and solutions for hearing instruments and high end ear-level audio devices. In the 1990s Microtronic acquired Microtel and 6 years later our production was moved from Denmark and the Netherlands to Poland, and in 2006 we opened new facilities in Vietnam. From the very beginning, Sonion has emphasized a culture of precision engineering, a commitment to the highest quality and a focus on the future.

Over the past 50 years, Sonion has grown from a start-up to a market leader with the vision We help the world listen and the ambition to shape the hearing health industry. Bonded by our strong values, we have a clear direction based on two pillars: Our innovation power and our manufacturing capabilities. We partner with the biggest hearing care companies to bring innovation that benefits people with hearing loss.

Today we are celebrating 50 years. We would like to thank our customers, partners and our colleagues for being part of Sonion’s story and success. We look forward to a bright future where we build and strengthen open innovation
