Jesper Ahlmann Funding Andersen resigns as CEO of Sonion

Roskilde, September 24

Jesper Ahlmann Funding Andersen is stepping down as CEO & President of Sonion.

Until a new CEO is appointed, Christian Nielsen, CFO & Executive Vice President of Sonion, will assume the role of CEO on an interim basis.

“As Sonion is aiming to continuously strengthen its position as a global leader in the design and manufacturing of components and solutions for hearing instruments and advanced audio solutions, the Board of Directors has concluded that having a CEO with a different profile to that of Jesper Ahlmann Funding Andersen will be required in the long term. The Board has therefore agreed with Jesper that he will resign, and we will now begin the process of finding a replacement,” says Walther Thygesen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sonion.

“I would like to thank Jesper for his leadership and service since being appointed CEO in April 2017. Jesper has been instrumental in the development of the company in the past few years and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” adds Walther Thygesen.

Sonion is a global leader in designing and manufacturing components and solutions for hearing instruments and develops and manufactures innovative, efficient and high-quality solutions for the Pro Audio, Hearables and Communications market.
